Whinnybank News

The Angels’ Share – Lundin Links” raised £5000, by selling donated items, to be split between Whinnybank Cat Sanctuary & Fife Dog Rescue in Lochgelly. Sue was so grateful to receive the £2,500 from Evelyn Craig on Sunday. Evelyn knew about Sue’s hard work as earlier in the year she caught a stray tabby cat & Sue was the only person who would take him on – he is now one of Whinnybank’s permanent residents as he was un-homeable. Homeable cats are being homed very quickly once they have been vet checked. We had a very sad call from Airdrie – a lady was made homeless with 2 horses, 6 cats & 9 guinea pigs! The horses & 4 of the cats were sorted but Sue has taken on the other 2 cats, aged 6 & 11. Much as Sue loves guinea pigs she does not have the time to look after them so Andrea, vet nurse at Heather Vets, stepped in & has given them all a temporary home – thanks Andrea once again for your kind help. Christmas goodies are selling well in our shops – thanks Tony for your time & determination in getting it all sold! Our Xmas Raffle tickets are still available from both our Newburgh & Auchtermuchty shops.

If you can offer a home to a cat, help at fundraising events, in our shops or at the sanctuary, please call Sue on 01337 840414, or see us online at
