Two rescues took place last week – the 1st was in St Andrews where a feral mum & her 2 kittens were caught within 24 hours as the lovely kind lady did as she was told. The 2nd rescue, in Leven, was a different story! A domestic mum & 2 kittens (we were told there were 6 kittens but only 2 were found) needed to be trapped so feeding stations were set up. Their rescue took over a week with long hours in the cold rain & many journeys because a certain person took away the homing box they were living in – despite being told not to. As only 1 kitten had been caught at that point, the other kitten was extremely stressed trying to find its sibling & the box it had been living in 😦 The poor wee soul was terrified & had no choice but to follow its mum into a busy car park which meant it was at risk from predators too – seagulls will take kittens, & rogue feral toms will kill kittens to make the mum go into heat. Sue hopes that the person concerned reads this as she ‘knew best’ despite Sue’s 35+ years of experience.
