Whinnybank News

A farmer delivered 3 young ferals to Whinnybank – they were petrified after being transported in an uncovered dog crate in the back of a pickup!! The farmer was obviously kind as the cats were well fed & he gave a £40 donation but he didn’t realise that ferals are happiest in the dark! The grey cat found in Crail has been claimed thanks to a lost & found website – if only he had been microchipped he could have been reunited with his owners sooner. We have been homing quite a few cats lately who have been at the sanctuary for a while! Thankfully there are no kittens on the horizon just now. We welcome Caroline to our band of volunteers – unfortunately she has hurt her back so we wish her a quick recovery. Thanks go to Steph Lyon from Dundee for her kind donation of cat food. Our hens are laying well, despite the bad weather, so there are lots of lovely free-range eggs in our shops!!
