NEWS

Sue is most grateful for the kind donations of wool and carrier bags after last week’s
appeal in the Herald – and thank you to the Herald for including our news!
Donations are still welcomed.

This week’s news is a tribute to a great favourite at Whinnybank. Foxy sadly had to
go to sleep a couple of weeks ago after living a great life at Whinnybank for over 17
years. Foxy arrived with his sibling Tiny aged 2 or 3 all those years ago. He was
originally called Midnight and along with Tiny was dropped off by a family asking
Sue if she could look after them for a month or so while they moved house. There
was a little girl who was so keen Tiny was looked after. Midnight became Foxy after
the family never returned to collect their cats. One day the little girl phoned to ask
how Tiny was, but before Sue could chat to her the call was cut off. Somewhere a
girl now in her 20s will remember Tiny. The cats lived out their lives at Whinnybank.
Tiny had quite the fan club! Some in Newburgh may even remember asking their
parents to walk them up to the Sanctuary to visit Tiny!
At one point Foxy had an argument with a car and needed his jaw wired for 6 weeks
but survived to rule the roost once healed!
Foxy is greatly missed and has joined Polo up on the hill in the duck paddock.
