Whinnybank News

Over the years, Dundee Council have very kindly let us book the Murraygate (outside Bet Fred) in Dundee for fundraising – we are there the last Thursday and Friday of the month when weather permits. We have been able to repay the Council for their kindness a couple of times over the past few weeks. First, an un-neutered polydactyl (with extra toes!) tom cat was put out of a ground floor window – a neighbor managed to coax the timid soul into her house and she phoned us for help. Then, last week, we were called out to a heavily pregnant female who had been abandoned since early January when her owners moved on without her. As the house still had power and had been empty since the New Year, Sue reported it to the Council. Luckily Sue managed to trap the cat before she had her kittens so she can now have them in a safe place at Whinnybank. We have a full house just now, as do all the Sanctuaries, so we would like to thank everyone for their kind donations of food – we really rely on them when the Sanctuary is so full.

If you can offer a home to a cat, help at fundraising events, in our shops or at the sanctuary, please call Sue on 01337 840414, or see us online at www.catchat.org/whinnybank and www.whinnybank.org.uk
