Whinnybank News

Cats coming into Whinnybank are put on hold just now due to cat flu. It’s a lot of worry and means lots of trips to the vets as, if cats cannot smell their food, they will starve rather than eat. So it is syringe feeding and steaming with good old Olbas oil. Today, all the 6 cats affected by the flu are eating well again. Urgent calls were sorted by moving them to fosterers. Our heavily pregnant cat went to Carol and Adam – she decided to have her kittens through the night so Carol lost a night’s sleep but enjoyed being a midwife! Thanks go to: Sarah Wallder from Leeds for handing in food and things for our shops, and also for a very kind donation to our account at Wilsons vets; to Joan Clarke for her kind donation of £200 in memory of Nelanic; and to everyone for all their donations of food and bedding!
