Whinnybank News

The recent storms were kind to Whinnybank so thankfully no major damage was done The birds, particularly the geese, were more upset than the cats in the barn. Trapping ferals on a farm has had to be put on hold due to the weather – not for long though as, due to the mild weather before the storms, the feral toms have been active for the past month looking for females in season! So, there will be an early kitten season this year. Sue is sorry to keep asking for donations of cat food but we really rely on them to feed the cats, even more so at this time of year when fundraising is limited. Any food is appreciated but we are desperate for Purina biscuits, Amazon “Solimo” biscuits, and Dreamies please. Kitten fosterer Linda is asking for chunky wool, any colour, to make catnip balls for the cats and to sell to raise funds. Special thanks this week go to “Help Fife Animals” in Leslie for their very kind donation of £500 which will go towards MOTs for our elderly cats.
