Whinnybank News

In Scotland, the closure of Cat’s Protection League groups in Fife & north of Arbroath has put a lot of pressure on us & the SSPCA. There are many sad cases of people desperate for help – the phone does not stop ringing! Sue is planning to replace all the cat pens – they came from a boarding cattery in Edinburgh 20 years ago so are really on their last legs. If anyone has a spare room to look after a cat temporarily until they can be homed please get in touch with Sue – there is no chance of getting the pens replaced with cats in situ, Sue had not planned to replace the pens because of her age but there are simply too many cats in need for her to retire! She has received a lot of lovely messages from people after the passing of Buffalo Bill at the grand old age of 25 years(!!) – she thanks everyone for their kind words. He loved raw mince – maybe that was the secret of his long life? He is sadly missed by everyone – & most of the other cats loved him too.

If you can offer a home to a cat, help at fundraising events, in our shops or at the sanctuary, please call Sue on 01337 840414, or see us online at www.catchat.org/whinnybank & www.whinnybank.org.uk
