Whinnybank News

The cat with the fractured leg at Leslie, who Sue had been trying to trap for 6 weeks, was finally caught on Tuesday morning by one of the workmen. She is putting weight on the leg – Sue has years of experience with feral cats with broken legs & they hold their leg up for a few weeks until it has healed & they can then walk on it, although they will always be lame. Our vet, Heather, will examine & x-ray the leg to see if anything can or needs to be done. This lovely female & her family were trapped & neutered 2 years ago, they live in a lovely place & are well-fed so hopefully she can be treated & returned. Thanks go to Carol & Adam for taking on 2 pregnant cats. One of them freaked out & bit Carol so it was a midnight trip to the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy for treatment! We have a full house just now so we need someone with a spare room to foster another mum-to-be for 3 months – please call Sue if you can help.. Thanks for all the recent donations of cat food. At the moment we are short of Solimo biscuits (Amazon’s own brand – they can be ordered through our Amazon Wishlist). We are also in urgent need of carpet squares.
