Whinnybank News

Egg production has been a bit changeable since Coronavirus began. At first Sue had more eggs than she knew what to do with so she put them under broody birds to hatch. As a result she has ended up with more Guinea Fowl than she can afford to keep so she had arranged to sell some at Lanark poultry market on 12th November. It took 3 days to catch them as they can fly like peacocks & it was then a 2 hour journey to the market so Sue was more than disgruntled to discover that the sale had been cancelled the night before due to bird flu in Cheshire! So, if anyone wants Guinea Fowl please contact Sue. Apologies for the lack of eggs just now – it is due to the lack of daylight at this time of year. Both our shops are full of Christmas Trees & other Festive goodies – if you can’t see what you are looking for please ask. Thanks this week go to Alison Brown for raising £66 for us by selling Linda’s lovely facemasks at a craft fair.

If you can offer a home to a cat, help at fundraising events, in our shops or at the sanctuary, please call Sue on 01337 840414, or see us online at
