Whinnybank News

About 4 months ago a litter of four 7-week old kittens were rescued from a greenhouse in Cluny Clays – they were not socialised & quite timid but we managed to happily home 2 of them as they gained their confidence. Topsy & Simon, however, were so timid that we were resigned to them remaining at Whinnybank. Out of the blue Sue was contacted by a fisherman & his wife in the Hebrides – they had seen Topsy & Simon on our website & thought they’d be perfect for controlling the mice & rats. Sue felt guilty that they had such a long journey to their new home but she is happy to report that they are now settled in their conservatory & being spoiled with a diet of lobster & crab! We are in need of knitting wool, particularly double knitting, so if you have any to spare we can put it to good use. Thanks go to Hazel & Ken this week for bringing their donation of books up to Whinnybank as Sue was unable to collect them.

If you can offer a home to a cat, help at fundraising events, in our shops or at the sanctuary, please call Sue on 01337 840414, or see us online at www.catchat.org/adoption/fife.html & www.whinnybank.org.uk
