Layla was a semi feral kitten when she came in to the sanctuary, and as you can see in the first photograph, she was very frightened of humans. Our dedicated kitten fosterer, Linda,  worked with her to build up her confidence and trust around humans, which was hugely successful. Linda found her a lovely home, and she has turned out to be a great wee cat. You can see in the photographs, the transformation from semi-feral kitten to fully domesticated cat. Layla is one of many, many such cases of feral kittens being domesticated by loving and patient fosterers. At Whinnybank, we are acutely aware of the needs of kittens and cats, and only allow adoptions when we know that the cat/kitten will be fully prepared to go to a new and loving home, where they will be well looked after.
