Whinnybank News
Sue had a phone call last Wednesday evening from a lady who was distressed to find 4 wee kittens at her door. She was unaware that her fluffy cat was pregnant, but if you keep an un-neutered female cat this is bound to happen. She put them, as advised, in a warm box under her kitchen window that the cat used all the time, going in and out the house. Sue arrived on Thursday morning to find the kittens and mum in their box – she realised something was wrong however as the mum’s milk was very hard and she could not feed her kittens. Sue returned home with the crying kittens to get them fed and saw that they were drowning in fleas. Sadly, these kittens were anaemic so Sue took them to the vets – she lost 2 of them by tea time, the other 2, now 6 weeks old, are looking great and need a home with someone who can continue the special care they need as Sue does not have the time needed to do this. Please help if you can. Thanks go to everyone who has donated cat food recently – please keep it coming if you can.
