Whinnybank News

All the rescues are full at the moment – we feel helpless until our license is sorted at Whinnybank, however the licensing people have said that they realise it will take a while to sort out Whinnybank to suit their requirements – it will take the summer at least and a lot of money. He did say that there is no reason why we cannot push for a license for 2 fosterers as they will only have a single or a pair of cats so there is no need for an isolation unit. That means that we can at least start to re-home cats online that that are in the care of 2 our foster homes. We have found that it is better for a cat to go from one home to another home rather than to have to go to, and then be uprooted from WB. As well as being far less stressful and kinder for the cat, the original owners are also happier to know that their cat is going straight to a new home. It is more work for us in some ways but does reduce some of Sue’s workload at the Sanctuary which is good as she is getting older and would like more time to spend with her own feral cats. We are in need of cat food please if anyone is feeling generous – it doesn’t matter what brand as the ferals enjoy any variety. We are pleased to report that our Newburgh shop is doing really well and Sue is enjoying spending more time covering it, and meeting up with her friends and supporters more often.
