BRUCE
Bruce is a five year old tuxedo tom. He has been a stray for a while. He had previously been neutered. He wooed the Newburgh Vets by being friendly and charming. He is now microchipped and has been treated for a flea allergy. He is currently sporting a slightly unusual hairstyle on his back legs. A bit reminiscent of chicken drumsticks in the 1970’s with the paper cuff at the ankle; if you are old enough to remember them. He loves being patted and will happily let you pick him up and sit next to you for a cuddle. He is pleasantly chatty without being a nag. Has a deep purr and drools a bit when he decides you are his new chum. He also enjoys both dry and wet food and is partial to the occasional cat treat. Due to his life on the street he is extremely wary of dogs and not keen on other cats. More a defensive response rather than all out aggression. So probably best for Bruce, if he is the only cat in the house. If you have a quietish household, he would probably be happy as a house cat. Or if you need the grey squirrels chased off your bird feeders in your garden, he would happily rise to the challenge, but only when he isn’t crashed out in his bed. Since cat napping is a big part of his daily agenda; small children likely to interrupt his beauty sleep but older children would be OK.
