Whinnybank News

As many people already know, Sue specialises in feral work. She is going to be overworked for some time as 3 feral jobs have all come in at the same time. One job is fairly local – a farmer wanting 12 feral/semi-feral cats neutered and returned, which is great. Sue gave him her trap and he had trapped one of them in 10 minutes! Hopefully the others can all be trapped over the next couple of weeks, before they get a chance to start breeding. A hotel at Stanley has changed hands, the 10 ferals already there had been neutered by CPL some years ago but there are now 2 new un-neutered ferals who have homed in on the food source. It will not be easy to trap them as they are so well-fed that they will probably not be tempted by the food in Sue’s usual trap. She also does not want to be trapping the ones who are already neutered so she will need to use her famous wooden box – she will sit in wait and only trigger it when one of the un-neutered cats is in it. The 3rd job concerns the last 9 ferals left at the recycling plant in Perth – they are all now in their teens and deserve a happy retirement at Whinnybank. Not everyone knows that Sue got locked in there once – luckily the police rescued her as it’s not the nicest place to spend the night!
