VERY ANGRY WE ARE ALL IN DISBELIEF

We got a call from a family living in Edinburgh asking for help as their mother had died leaving behind an 8 year old cat. Unfortunately, none of the Edinburgh Rescues had room to take in their Mum’s 8 year old cat. Sue phoned back to offer help only to be told that the family could not wait any longer and had gone to a local vet and had the poor cat put to sleep. Sue was lost for for words as she could not believe that anybody could do something like that. Sue has real difficulty understanding why a vet would put an 8 year old healthy cat to sleep. The poor cat would probably have had a good few years left. I think their mother would be appalled if she knew what they had done to this poor cat .
