Whinnybank News

An important message from Sue – Sadly our Auchtermuchty fundraising shop will be closing after Christmas 2024. Since the Co-op closed down we simply do not have enough customers to keep this shop open. We have been in an impossible situation where the shop is only just paying for itself and not helping to raise funds, and this means that it has been using valuable money that would be better spent on the cats. We will miss all our customers – thank you so much for all the support over the past 20+ years. The good news is that our Newburgh shop is here to stay and you can buy all the same things as well as other things that we did not have space to sell in our ‘Muchty shop. Please continue to support us if you can by dropping any donations off at our Newburgh shop or our sales in St Andrews & Dundee. We can arrange collection for large amounts of items. One bonus is that Sue will actually have 2 extra days – 1 at home each week to catch up with jobs there, and 1 to spend in the Newburgh shop – in theory at least! Morrisons Kirkcaldy have now replaced the 2 pet food collection boxes, 1 for cats and 1 for dogs with only 1 small box for both. Sue thanks June and Angie, both volunteers whole help out at Whinnybank on Tuesdays, for arranging with Sainsburys in Leven to have a cat food collection box for us.
