Whinnybank News

The mum and 4 kittens living in a hole in a wall in St Andrews have all been caught up, after 3 hours of chilly waiting! She is such a good mum – the kittens only came out of the hole once she called them, then they all came running. St Andrews is full of seagulls and they will take a kitten so mum only called her kittens when she knew it was safe. Also, tom cats would soon return, waiting for the mum to come into season , and kittens can easily be hurt or even killed in the fighting. The credit is not all Sue’s – her dear friend Louise was very supportive and helpful and they would only have caught 2 kittens had it not been for her brainwave. Is there anyone who has a lot of free time to socialise these kittens over the next 2-3 weeks so they are tame enough to go to homes? Time is of the essence so please call Sue ASAP if you can help. Thank you, as always, for all the donations of cat food and towels. What we need now please is puppy pads for using with kittens.
