Whinnybank News
Fourteen years ago Sue picked up a mum and her 4 kittens from Kirkcaldy. The kittens were beyond taming but were homed to a stable. Sue (and everyone else) fell in love with the mum so she named her Penny and kept her. All Whinnybank cats have the choice of sleeping in the barn or in the house and Penny chose a comfy sofa in the barn, right next to the food! We sadly lost her last week and will miss her but she was nearly 20 so she had a really good innings. The prolapsed kitten who came in to the sanctuary last week is on the mend – Heather the vet put the prolapse all back where it should be and stitched her up. She is now getting 1 to 1 care with a kind helper. Sue despairs of people who promise homes to Whinnybank cats and then back out at the last minute or, even worse, just don’t turn up! We are in need of carrier bags of all sizes please. We can’t afford to keep buying them but people do expect them.
