Whinnybank News

This week it’s rabbits instead of cats! When Sue was a teenager she bred and showed rabbits. She also had a wild rabbit called Elvis for 14 years – he had his freedom, raiding her Father’s vegetable garden and he regretted the day he brought the rabbit home in his pocket. So, when Sue’s dear friend was not keeping well, she collected his 4 rabbits. Thank you Andrea and Lisa, vet nurses, for giving them a lovely well-needed pedicure and for washing their bums before being neutered. They also had their bad teeth removed – happy bunnies! It was a sad day last Sunday, when Sanctuary favourite Mamba was killed on our road. She had been at Whinnybank for 12 happy years and will be sadly missed. New signs will go up soon – is anyone out there good with woodwork? We would like the signs to say “Sanctuary – Please kill your speed, not our cats”.

If you can offer a home to a cat, help at fundraising events, in our shops or at the sanctuary, please call Sue on 01337 840414, or see us online at www.catchat.org/whinnybank and www.whinnybank.org.uk
