Whinnybank News
We’d like to tell the story of George who came in from Bo’ness a week ago. He was about 6 months old when his owner (“Lady 1”) moved house and he managed to get out of a window in his new home and disappeared, Four years later “Lady 2” had posted that she was feeding a stray and asked if anyone recognised him. “Lady 1” recognised him as George because of his markings! Because she had given up on finding George she had taken on 2 kittens, who were now 4 years old. “Lady 1” borrowed a cat trap from Sue but sadly it failed as he was such a big strong boy. Sue told her not to despair and to come and get Sue’s famous box. George was not a regular visitor so it took a few months and lots of patience to eventually trap him – it was wonderful to get the call from “Lady 2” to say he was in the box! Because he had turned feral, he was brought to Whinnybank where he has had a thorough health check and lots of TLC. Thanks to everyone who has donated food this week, and to the lovely lady who gave a very generous donation.
