Whinnybank News

Sue would like to give special thanks to the very kind lady who sent a letter explaining that she was donating £100 to Whinnybank, and why she was doing so. She wrote “As a former manager of a PDSA shop, I know how hugely important donations are, and as an animal lover who has previously had cats. I read articles in papers of the number of cats that are in desperate need of medical attention and love, and to be honest it is distressing.” Sue is still receiving so many calls that she is only able to deal with the most serious ones. She organised someone to pick up a cat quite late one evening who was found in bushes and covered in blood, having aborted her kittens. She was also covered in fleas and is starting her recovery at Whinnybank before being hopefully rehomed. There was also a mum & kittens in a flat this week who had gone feral and were covered in fleas – the mum is also pregnant again! Sue was covered in blood from scratches by the time she managed to get them all caught up. They are now safely in a pen at Whinnybank where they will be cared for.
