Whinnybank News
Whinnybank is currently full to bursting – as are all rescues! We already have 3 pregnant females and the first litter of kittens was born this week. We are homing a lot of the older cats which is great but unfortunately a lot of the cats coming in have problems (either health or behaviour) which need a lot more work and time than normal. For example, George, a semi-feral cat from St Andrews, who was being fed by a kind lady. She was horrified when he came in for food one day and shook himself and maggots flew in all directions. Turns out he had a big infested abscess on his back, which is now being treated and on the way to healing. Once it has fully healed he will have a permanent home with the lady who was feeding him 🙂 He will likely choose to spend most of his time indoors but we are looking for a small ‘kennel’ for him for when he wants shelter outside. People are still being very generous with food donations – thank you all so much. Special thanks go to the kind person who donated a brand new Henry Hoover for Sue.
