Whinnybank News

Sue has managed to catch up the last of the kittens. Sadly, one has an eye problem and, it seems, is almost blind. She is currently being treated with steroid eye drops from our vet so we are keeping our fingers crossed. We may all have to put our hands in our pockets if she needs specialist treatment. Sue is often called to St Andrews to trap cats and/or kittens and she has a permanent feeding station on campus. Astonishingly, some students take on kittens but when it is time for them to go home after their studies are over they often just put the now fully grown cat out on the street. To make it even worse the cats are not neutered so unnecessary litters of kittens soon appear. We are not sure how this problem can be sorted but something has to be done. As always, many thanks go to everyone who has kindly donated cat food, money and other items.
