Whinnybank News
This year we are really feeling the impact of COVID as there are many feral and strays who were not reported in their first year. We believe this was mainly due to people being discouraged from leaving their homes so unwanted cats were simply not noticed, or because people were scared of rescuers coming to their doors. We currently have 18 feral kittens at Whinnybank who are beyond taming and there are more to come. Most will remain feral as they are usually only tamable if they are under 8 weeks old. Good news – a lot of the adult domestics are going to new homes now holiday season is over. We are in need of carrier bags please, and cat food please – without donations of food we would need to spend £100 a day on cat food! Sue apologises for the lack of jam – she has simply been far too busy to make any more!
If you can offer a home to a cat, help at fundraising events, in our shops or at the sanctuary, please call Sue on 01337 840414, or see us online at www.catchat.org/whinnybank and www.whinnybank.org.uk
