Whinnybank News

We feel the need to make it known that Sue is inundated with feral work just now – she currently has 28 ferals at Whinnybank who are waiting to be neutered, with at least 4 more litters and numerous older ferals queuing up to come into the Sanctuary. Because it would be cruel to separate them (and we don’t have enough room) they are in pens in their family groups so they need to be neutered ASAP as they can breed from 5 months old! The stumbling block is the cost of the neutering as we do not usually get any homing donations for ferals. Any donations we do get for them never cover the costs of vaccinations, worming treatment and neutering. People have been very kind over the past week with food donations, which at least keeps them well-fed. Any help towards our vet costs would be very gratefully received.

If you can offer a home to a cat, help at fundraising events, in our shops or at the sanctuary, please call Sue on 01337 840414, or see us online at www.catchat.org/whinnybank and www.whinnybank.org.uk
