Whinnybank News

This week we have a sad story but with a happy ending for cat Lennon. Not all people are honest when they hand over cats & kittens to be rehomed. After 11 weeks of howling & starving himself, & biting Sue if she tried to comfort him, the stress was getting to Sue & she thought it may be kinder to put him to sleep. Being a long haired ginger his coat became a mess so the vet sedated him to de-matt his coat. We put out a call for help on our website hoping for a special person to take him on. We had many calls & Sue chose a lovely couple, Jill & Dougie of Tayport, who have had difficult cats in the past & who said they would do their best to win him round. He has settled in well – made friends with their other cat, doesn’t cry anymore & is eating better. Sue cannot thank them enough, along with everyone else who has cared.

If you can offer a home to a cat, help at fundraising events, in our shops or at the sanctuary, please call Sue on 01337 840414, or see us online at www.catchat.org/adoption/fife.html & www.whinnybank.org.uk
