Whinnybank News

Rupert was a 4 month old kitten who was trapped in Perth with his family about 15 years ago – he was not happy with other cats around him & decided to live up the hill at Pitcairnie Farm. He did visit Whinyybank a couple of times but eventually stayed on the farm, spending his life catching mice & rabbits After a wonderful life he sadly had to be put to sleep last week. Sue picked up a stray female tabby at Brunton at the weekend – we are very hopeful we will find the owner. Some people obviously don’t know where Sue lives or they would realize that the “Beast from the East” had her well & truly snowed in – she had a number of phone calls wondering why the shop wasn’t open, wanting bird food. We had plenty of warning the bad weather was coming so were well stocked up on supplies but Sue was worried that one of the ferals would need vet care. Hats off to Claire the vet for walking all the way from Logie to the surgery in Newburgh!
