Whinnybank News

Sue’s own plums have not been so great this year – we sold what we could & Sue has made yummy jam out of the rest. For the first time we have had a few damsons, which will be a real treat. Next will be apples, rowan berries & rosehips (ouch!) – & elderberries, if the guinea fowls & hens haven’t eaten them all! We have 5 elderly cats coming in from Dundee & two 12-year olds from Lanarkshire. Most recues will not take in such elderly cats – it’s a shame as it is not their fault their owners have passed away. These cats will probably be at Whinnybank for a while as it takes longer to home elderly cats so any donations of food would be welcome. Thanks go to Lodge Lindores for their kind donation of books & bric-a-brac.
