Whinnybank News

An elderly female grey & white cat wandered into our Newburgh shop on Saturday. She was obviously ‘not right’ so Linda asked passers-by if they knew who she belonged to but on-one knew. Linda thanks Mandy for the loan of a cat carrier so she could leave her for Sue to collect. She had been seen around the bottom end of Newburgh so Sue is wondering if an elderly person is missing her. Laura, previously of Twist Fibre Craft, has kindly given her a temporary home as she would not be happy up at the Sanctuary with lots of other cats around. There is a sad ending to the grey cat who Sue neutered & returned to Buckhaven – he became very ill on the Friday & was rushed to Wilson’s Vets in Cupar where he was sadly put to sleep – it seemed he had been poisoned. Apparently a number of cats in that area have been poisoned lately. Thanks go to Age Concern for their kind donation of books & bric-a-brac.

If you can offer a home to a cat, help at fundraising events, in our shops or at the sanctuary, please call Sue on 01337 840414, or see us online at www.catchat.org/adoption/fife.html & www.whinnybank.org.uk
