Whinnybank News

An update on the mum & kittens found in a garden in Leven – the final kitten, a female tortie, was caught the next day & the peach/ginger boy turned out to be a girl too! The mum had a wound under her front leg from the collar round her rib cage – it will take a while to heal but we have seen much worse where a cat has had to have 20 stitches due to a collar injury This is one of the main reasons why we prefer a cat to be microchipped rather than fitted with a collar. Since then Sue has had a call to trap a mum & 4 kittens under a shed in Methil – here we go again! Three Maine Coon females are due to come into Whinnybank due to a bereavement. They are 17, 13 & 12 years old so we hope that they will get new homes quickly as elderly cats really appreciate their home comforts. We are in need of prizes for our Xmas raffle so if you have any bottles of booze, chocolates, toiletries or other unwanted gifts we can put them to good use. Thanks this week go to Newburgh URC for their kind donation of books & bric-a-brac.
