We hope everyone is coping with the recent awful weather! Feral work and operations have both had to go on hold for the time being, not least because Sue can’t always get out due to the snow up at Whinnybank! Here is a happy story to cheer you: Sam came into the Sanctuary towards the end of last year as his owners died, he was very stressed and unhappy with the kids, and other cats, at their daughter’s house. When he came into the Sanctuary he was very ‘hissy-fitty’ so he was lucky that a kind lady spotted him on Cat Chat, and wanted to give him a home no matter what his temperament. She reports “It’s now 24 hours since I collected our Sam from your barn. I am happy to report that he is settling in well… It is as you know a long process for such a timid, frightened chap but he has eaten and given himself a good wash… I had thought it would take much longer to get to this stage so please be relieved that he has found a safe, warm forever home.” Our Easter Raffle is to be drawn on Sat 30 March – prizes include a large hamper & Eternal Romance perfume – tickets, 5 for £1, are available in our Newburgh shop. Thanks go to Dunbog Primary School for their donation of books & bric-a-brac.
