The terrible weather we had two weeks ago brought leaks in the barn, where we didn’t think we had leaks! Luckily, our shops have done well recently, so at least we can get it fixed. Whinnybank volunteer Fiona would like to thank Dave Stewart from Fletchers of Muchty, and Bob Ritchie from Berryfields Farm for coming to her assistance, when her car was engulfed in the floods. Good news is that Sue re-homed four cats last week; two elderly sisters who had been with us since December, Pete, who also came to us in December with chronic diarrhoea, and Ben, who had been abused in a home of drug users. They all seem to have settled well in their new homes. Sue caught the feral mum and five kittens at Bridge of Earn, and they are now in a foster home in Kirkcaldy. The Auchtermuchty Festival starts very soon, and we are in need of bottles of ‘booze’ for our tombola, so any donations would be much appreciated. Donna, cake-maker extraordinaire, is making lots of yummy muffins to sell over the Festival.
