At the book sale in Dundee last Friday we had a fantastic day. Long term Whinnybank volunteer Linda Naismith was shopping in Dundee and decided to help out for four hours – her encyclopaedic knowledge of books definitely helped us to raise £405! This was way more that we took the week before Christmas, which is usually our busiest sale. She is a busy lady but has promised to help out again in the future. We also did the car boot sale in Edinburgh on Sunday and raised another £160.

Sue is not happy with the finishing of our shop in Newburgh as it needs to be made safe for customers – apologies for the delay but we hope to reopen soon so watch this space. Special thanks this week go to Mr Gordon Blakely from St Andrews for his bumper donation of cat and kitten food
