Sue and helpers did a feral job near Lundin Links this week – they had to move a heap of tyres to rescue 3 kittens aged 5 weeks, which would have perished if left. Vet nurse Andrea is hand-rearing them and giving them lots of tlc. The mum cat was eventually trapped and will be neutered and returned. Sue & Lisa also started a feral job in Kinross where four 7 week old kittens were living in an outbuilding with two huge bulls! They caught all 4 with much determination, as they couldn’t leave traps in there. They will go back for another 7 cats, including 5 of last year’s kittens.
Long time supporter of Whinnybank, Joan from Cupar, a friend of ‘Jam Ann’ for 40 years, is back in Ninewells – we are all thinking of her and wishing her well. She has asked for knitting needles and wool so that she can knit some blankets for us when she gets home! Donations of double knit wool and needles would be much appreciated.
Tayport on Sunday was the busiest of the year so far so there was lots of competition for sales – we were pleased to raise £200. Our next book sale in the Murraygate in Dundee will be on Wed 30 June.
